Conceptual Design
At Saffery Read we offer a conceptual design service for a wide range of applications to create and visualise design projects.
We use a variety of methods to produce concept designs that can be instructed on an individual room basis or entire property. This has proved a highly beneficial tool on multiple projects, allowing our clients to make informed design choices before commencing construction work.
Our typical work includes;

Sketch floor plans and elevations

Sketch site plans to redesign access, landscaping and external features, such as swimming pools and tennis courts

3D rendered images to visualise internal spaces, showing indicative finishes

3D imagery including furniture layout and overall style suggestions

3D visuals to test kitchen designs, bathroom layouts etc
This can be a useful tool if you are considering undertaking refurbishment, alterations or new build construction to allow you to visualise the space's potential. Architectural Design
At Saffery Read we have extensive experience undertaking architectural design for a number of applications such as; extensions and alterations, new build homes, refurbishments and restoration of listed and historic buildings.
Initial design
We offer architectural design, including feasibility and concept design as described above, which is in line with RIBA stages 0-2.
Planning applications
If found to be required during the feasibility stage of the project, we can prepare and submit planning applications, certificates for lawful development and assist with the discharge of conditions related to the application. We can also advise if pre-application advice would be recommended and request this from the relevant local authority on our clients' behalf.
Detailed design
We are experienced in the production of technical design and detailing to RIBA stage 4, or Building Regulations.
We can assist and advise on the preparation and submission of Building Regulations applications and discharge any pre-commencement planning conditions.
Tender and construction
With our network of contacts we can suggest the appropriate next steps towards construction, including suggesting potential contractors and specialists where required to build the project team.
Ongoing advice
We offer a consultancy service throughout the construction phase where we can agree a number of site visits/inspections to asses the suitable progression of the design and answer any design or technical queries arising.
Interior Design
We offer interior design services either on a standalone basis, or in conjunction with any of our other services. Rather than imitating a certain style, we look to create a unique space suited to our clients individual brief by drawing on our expansive network of contacts and suppliers, as well as our skilled in-house team of designers.
We enjoy working across a wide range of property types and work flexibly with the project team to produce high-quality interior design.
We listen carefully to the brief and the space our clients are trying to create, then produce interior concept sketches, mood boards and visualisations for review and discussion.
